Cheetham Hill Construction (CHC) is a civil engineering and equipment hire specialist in Bury. We undertake projects ranging up to £14,000,000 in value across a wide range of clients.
We have a proven track record of undertaking work on fully operational and multi-discipline sites for clients within the paper, water, chemical, logistics, waste, environmental (energy) and manufacturing sectors of industry. Our core skills and expertise also enable us to manage projects on environmentally sensitive sites such as; SSSI’s, works within and adjacent to main river, canals and watercourses, tidal work and contaminated land, together with projects impacted by invasive species and protected flora and fauna issues. We are able to complete projects with a full understanding of the regulatory environment in which our clients operate.
The construction industry has a huge impact on the lives of many, with a high percentage of construction work taking place in public and sensitive locations. Our in-house expertise in delivering works that involve extensive third party management and liaison enables us to manage all aspects of projects that impact on local and surrounding communities.

Success from Bury Careers Event in 2019
Thanks to the careers event last September we are delighted to say we were able to employ 3 apprentices who start with us on Monday 21st September. All three boys are from the Bury area 1 from Woodhey High School, 1 from St Monicas and 1 from St Gabriel’s.
2 of the boys are 16 years old and will be doing a two year Groundwork Apprenticeship in partnership with Salford City College on a day release basis. Both boys also completed work experience with us during the school holidays.
The third is 18 years old and did a BTEC at Bury College and after doing his work experience with us is now pursuing a Higher Level Apprenticeship with Cheetham Hill Construction to study Civil Engineering at Salford University.
